TIMELINE
2002: Our directors founded Clever Financial, a company dedicated to the personalized management of investment portfolios, which generated about USD 20 million traded per month.
2003: After several years of performance as Traders in global markets, implementing Day trading and longer-term strategies, our team understands how the psychological effect produces greater volatility in results when proven successful strategies are implemented.
In general, greed and fear, along with other moods, have a relevant influence on position size, the objective of the transaction, and risk management. In this context, efforts and investigations begin to achieve the automation of investment strategies.
The knowledge and experience of Juan Carlos Arismendi merged with the rest of the team enhances knowledge in artificial intelligence and finance, which begins the development of programming new strategies.
2014: Juan Carlos Arismendi, together with part of the strategic team, publishes the book “Intelligent investment systems: artificial intelligence for forecasting, selection and optimization of stocks” based on his postgraduate and doctoral thesis.
2018: The first effective development of our SMART LION technology applied to the S&P is obtained, a system that significantly reduces the risk in exposure to the stock market, with very low trading frequency and superior long-term returns.
Our director Marco Rodríguez joins us, for the dissemination, optimization and distribution of the algorithms, as well as the evaluation of new systems.
Today, SMART LION developments for the S&P, Nasdaq, Dax indices, as well as several individual stocks and other liquid financial assets, with consistently superior results in terms of volatility, market capture and returns.
