Mr. Rodriguez is an economist graduated from the Catholic University "Andrés Bello", with a Masters Degree in Business from the Institute of Higher Studies of Administration (IESA). Additionally, he completed postgraduate studies at Cornell University in New York.

Throughout his professional life he has accumulated a great experience in various companies. He was Research Manager at U21 Casa de Bolsa, where he led an analysis team for Fixed Income and Equities of global spectrum focused on Latin America. The analysis generated under his leadership were used by the treasury team and clients to significantly enhance the return and risk profile of their investment portfolios.

He has been Adjunct Professor at the Metropolitan University and the Catholic University "Andrés Bello", giving courses in Managerial Economics, Macro and Microeconomics.

He was Project Manager of Next Ventures Corp. where he participated in project and company financing for about One Billion Dollars (US$1,000,000,000.00), mainly in infrastructure and primary production of natural resources, for the companies Coalcorp Mining (Coal), Pacific Stratus Energy (Gas) and Petro Rubiales Energy (Oil). He was also Manager at the Caribbean Opportunity Fund, with real estate projects in Colombia with investments over twenty million dollars (US$20,000,000.00).

He served as Vice President of Operations of Mesa Activa, a technological system that generated nearly 100 investment alerts to clients to invest in the main US Stock Exchanges, with high returns.

He worked as Development and Procurement Manager at Pacific Rubiales Energy, where he managed annual logistic budgets, with significant achievements in cost reduction of up to ten percent (10%) and improvements in management quality.

Additionally, he was Vice President of BPS Energy, an oilfield services company with operations in Venezuela. There he analyzed and managed investment projects in drilling and oil services for amounts over Two Hundred Million Dollars. (US$200,000,000.00).

He is currently Managing Partner at Black Tree Capital, a fund dedicated to private equity and venture capital investments in the oil and energy sector. There he promotes investment projects in America and Europe that total an amount of Two Hundred Million Dollars. (US$200,000,000.00). He also advises companies from various sectors on issues of investments in financial markets and capital raising. In addition, he is a partner of Quants Asesores, a company that promotes automated FX investment systems of the HFT type.

His expertise in the analysis of fixed income markets and investments makes him a valuable member of the Lion Citadel team, where he makes relevant contributions in the structuring of the strategies comprised in the Smart Lion Technology.

Our directors Jeanette Mora de Armas and Juan Carlos Arismendi developed algorithms based on technical analysis strategies that total 40 decision rules and were applied to S&P 500 stocks, with very positive results.
